I am kind of having a hard time believing it is already a week into October. OF 2013!! Crazy!
Since I quit my day job, I have *not* had the kind of free time I thought I would have. I started new projects (including completely re-doing our backyard), and my “part-time” job time commitment with Maggie has tripled and quadrupled in the last few weeks with our busy season.
So all that to say, I’ve really got to focus and hunker down to blog consistently. Maybe you’re having the same challenges? To that end, here are 5 blog posts to write this month. At least one solid post a week? You can TOTALLY do that!
What you have learned from ________
Maybe what you have learned from your parents or your kids or living in this new town. Maybe what you have learned from doing Project Life for a year, or blogging for 5 years or a lifetime of photography. Maybe what you have learned from the last book you read, or the last movie you watched. Tongue-in-cheek or earnest and sincere – this prompt could go either way.
What you have planned for ________
What you have planned for this weekend, this month, this year. What you have planned for your house or the holidays or your blogging schedule. Or even, what you have planned for your as yet unborn children or your descendants.
Reasons why ________ is the best ever / most important thing
This could be anything from Pumpkin Spice Lattes to some parenting technique. Maybe you want to write about why keeping an editorial calendar is magic or why learning to use your sewing machine is the most important thing.
How to move past __________
Failure, disappointment, criticism … or even change this to ‘What to do now that you have ______ ‘ accomplished your goal, finished your project, decided to start, etc. You have experienced something, figured out what you should do next, and your readers will love to hear about it.
The #1 question you always get
The question you always get about your past, or your family, or your town. Maybe people always wonder how you do a certain thing, or what your secret ingredient in that family recipe is. If you’re blogging for a business, what is the #1 FAQ you get – pricing? procedure?
Pick one of these. Write it over the next few days and schedule it for next week. Boom. Look at you. Blogging awesome content
