It’s here!
My Blurb book for December Daily 2012!
I did my December Daily last year as a small hardcover Blurb book and I really love A) how it turned out and B) how easy it was for me to put together.
No worrying about digging out coordinating holiday papers. No getting physical photos printed every few days. No making a mess with red and green glitter on my desk.
I would make a mess.
With Blurb, I just made a template and dropped in the photos/journaling.
SO – If you have some holiday photos that still need a home, or if you want to put together a special gift for Valentine’s Day – I have a Blurb discount code for you!
Save 15% on your Blurb Photo Book purchase from 1/8 through 2/14 with code LOVEBOOKS
I’m nearly certain I’ll do the same next December.
But enough about that …. On to the book itself:
Hardcover, image wrap, 7×7″ Blurb book
Front cover photo is from Christmas morning – typeface in the title is Bebas Neue
The girls were basically petrified my brother’s dog was going to walk in any minute. Which is why Khaleesi is pushing off my face.

And the beginning … Just a handful of pages so you can get an idea.
Same template for each layout. Same type as the title page and cover.

As I was doing my journaling for the final week before Christmas, I kept thinking about how I wasn’t in any way in the Christmas spirit. Not at all.
Doing this project and reflecting on every day in December helped me remember why traditions are special, why making an advent calendar or some kind of holiday-ish effort is worth it.

Tried to remember to take photos of Andrew and I regularly.

I only took this book to Christmas Day – we did NOTHING the rest of the week except work and clean up after guests.

And side by side on my shelf. You can see 2011 was fatter – I took that book all the way through the end of the month so there’s a few more pages.
(Also on that shelf? My Objects of 2011 Blurb book, my September 30Lists 2012 Blurb book and my Wedding Details Blurb book from Tell Its Story, my travel-related Blurb books are downstairs)

I’m happy with it
How did your December Daily book turn out?

Oh Amy, I just LOVE your December Daily Books!!! Best idea EVER!
I really do like how nicely they line up on the shelf…and can I just say how jealous I am of how many photos you take on a given day?! You’re a machine!!
And, in the creepiest way possible…how is it that our men-folk keep getting better and better looking as the years go on?? High fives to us!
