Around here in October….
… Andrew made an Instagram Blurb book when I had the free code. “Perfect Graveyard of Buried Hopes” is a reference to Anne of Green Gables (which we both love).
…. (no photo, but) little boy, maybe 3 years old, walking all the way up our lawn to see the cats in our front window (while his dad was trying to tell him ‘we don’t walk on strangers’ lawns’)!
… visiting the Santa Barbara mission and taking engagement photos while in Santa Barbara
… Andrew finished building all our window screens so now we can sleep with the windows open (without worrying about cats falling out)
… trying to clean up the backyard a little. Getting rid of dead potted plants, weeding so we can till and plant again, and raking up
… Khaleesi’s new favorite thing is to play with their empty food bowl. She has carried it all the way upstairs into our bed to play with it…. twice.
… Fang finding a new place to lay
… our favorite little guy is 5 months old
… I’ve been scolded for wearing Converse to work, so I went and bought boring cut-into-my-heel flats just to wear at work
… the little girls are getting a snugglier – I wonder if it’s because it’s getting colder.
… we’ll be having house guests this weekend! Excited!
… listening to a lot of cassette tapes. And this record player+bookshelf is literally ALL the furniture we have still in this ‘living area’ of our house
… somehow all my Billy Joel CDs never made it onto my iTunes/iPod. Must remedy
… Andrew’s dad told us you can “plant” a piece of dried-out cactus horizontally and it will grow new cactus plants vertically. Turns out he was right!
What have you been up to in the last month?

Screens are great for keeping your cats in and for keeping other critters out. I love that the weather is cool enough to have the windows open! The cat pics are so much fun. Shredder always laid on my lap for much longer periods of time when the weather was cooler.
What! He looks exactly like Jason Sudeikis!
Glad you liked my Instagrammar School!
