It’s not finished.
It’s maybe 1/2 finished.
But I’m still glad that Mim encouraged me to get it out to take photos of.
I loved looking at our wedding photos … .they make me so happy!
My mother-in-law bought me this album just after we got engaged (months before the wedding) …
I made sure we found a wedding photographer who gave us the disc of high-res images …. because I wanted to be able to scrapbook my own photos (even though I *love* the bound albums photographers offer).
I love to scrapbook and doing (even this much work on our wedding images) was so fun for me …. I probably started this in 2006? maybe? And we moved to CA in May 2008 so it has been in storage since at least then.
Wedding images by Melissa Jill
What HAS been done:
- Basic design decided on
- photos printed
- photos and accent paper mounted on pages
- Most of the pages in protectors/bound
- some journaling done (though not in the actual album)
- necessary accents/etc purchased
What STILL NEEDS TO BE done:
- Buy more page protectors and finish the binding
- do ALL the journaling (writing most of it out, doing page layout, pasting journal blocks onto the pages, etc)
So, take a look at the pages ….This is not ALL the pages. I’ll try to re-take images of the finished product. Whenever that happens.
Any big blank spaces are likely set aside for journaling ….
EX: One of our groomsmen worked with Andrew to write a song for our wedding, so I’ll be putting all the lyrics in our album
We also did a several-page wedding program that I will work in here somewhere, along with fabric scraps from the bridesmaids skirts.
Note: I did a completely different/separate album of our honeymoon … and I intend to do a different/separate album of wedding planning and wedding-related showers.

Our wedding colors were just Fall-inspired. Each girl wore a different color in a spectrum …
You’ll see …

Andrew’s wedding ring is tattoo’d on (which he decided long before the wedding) …. so at the actual ceremony, I used a Sharpie to draw on his ring….
The photos below are of me doing that (and laughing because our pastor made some funny comments about it)

Wedding party photos below:
Andrew and I EACH had a best man and a maid of honor … so, total we had 6 girls and 5 guys in our wedding party ….

This is the last page that currently fits in the album. I really need to buy more page protectors to get the album all in one piece.

These are all the pages WITH photos already mounted that don’t yet have the protectors to put them in the book …

(found some journaling I got Andrew to do for the wedding)

(and found some of my scrapbooking materials that I thought was all packed away somewhere else)

We had 2 cakes. Silly to have a REAL cake and a groom’s cake…. implying the groom isn’t as important?
So we had a white cake and a chocolate cake… bot the same size.
And we have a friend who takes action figures and modeling clay and made personalized cake toppers for us.
One set of the way we looked/dressed when we met (Andrew w/ the Screeching Weasels Tshirt and mohawk) and one of the way we look/dressed at our wedding …

This is Christian and Avalon.
We love them.
Their 3 year anniversary is in a couple days!

Our wedding was a Sunday afternoon …. we’re not dancers …. but in order for our guests to be entertained we got a bunch of lawn games for playing.
Playing and just enjoying the day.
Including hula-hoops
So fun.

The end.
I love our wedding photos.
I loved our wedding day.
Tomorrow we’re taking 5th anniversary portraits (!!) – our actual anniversary is in November.
so so fun ….

Yay! Thanks for sharing. I love the way you’ve arranged the photos in your book with the mix of large and smaller photos and groupings. Your wedding looks like such fun! You look beautiful and your groom looks handsome. I LOVE the action figures!!!
Great memories! Still one of my favorite weddings attended…for a variety of reasons.
Holy crap! Our wedding day was so fun. Can’t wait to look at all our pictures again
